Humans are hard-wired for language; we are not hard-wired to read. Although a great joy to many, reading is incredibly difficult for some.
To tackle the many issues and complexities around reading, we have partnered with the University of South Florida’s College of Education, a rising star in educational research universities.
USF College of Education’s bright, young academics continually bring leading-edge thinking to educational challenges. The College of Education has a robust and dynamic college/post-graduate curriculum staffed by passionate educators whose credentials match their dedication and can-do attitudes. USF believes strongly in providing its students with in-classroom field experiences.
The Henson Fund collaborates with USF senior educators in producing creative, academically sound, and measurable programs for increasing the reading skills of our most vulnerable children. All of our programs are piloted within area Title 1 elementary and middle schools.
